Help for Navigator (Windows Mobile Version)

Starting Navigator
To start Navigator, select the Start menu and click the Navigator icon. Navigator will start, and load the default
ship display .
Note: If you have a device with  portrait or landscape display mode, choose landscape for optimal performance.
(This choice is made in the
Device's Settings dialog, Certain devices such as Samsung PDA phones allow you
to change orientation by pulling out the keyboard)

Loading and displaying a cruise ship file
To load a ship file, click on Ship in the main menu and then on Open Ship File. Select the desired ship file and
click Open. The ship file will then be loaded and displayed. A ship is displayed horizontally with the rear to the left
and the bow to the right. Cabins are shown as rectangles. Starboard cabins (those on the right as the ship moves
forward are shown in
orange, those on the left or port side are displayed in dark green). Mid-cabins use pink
for the color.

Setting the view
Once a ship file is loaded, the display is set to a default scale of 100%;  you can change this to a set of scales
from 50% to 500% by clicking on them in the View/Scale menu item.   Ships will typically have 10 or more decks.
To set the view to different decks, click on View\Next Deck, Last Deck or Go to Deck. If you click on Go to Deck
you get a list of all the available decks and you can choose one from the display. It may be easier to use the +
and - keys on the Smart phone: Push
+ to set the display to a higher deck number, and - to a lower one.

To pan the display left or right, up or down use the navigation button on the smart phone.

Getting Directions
To get directions, click on Ship\Get Directions in the menu. This results in a display that has entries for starting
and ending locations.

Navigation locations can be a combination of cabins and points of interest (restaurant, theaters, shops, etc. )

To set the starting location, first select the starting listbox, then use the  left/right navigation keys to select
Cabin or other POI

If the POI is cabin, use the down arrow to get to the
Cabin #1 text box; enter the cabin number, for example 4019.
(
note that your personal cabin number is already entered here if you previously entered it in the
Settings dialog)

To set the ending location, first select the ending listbox, then use the  left/right navigation keys to select
Cabin or other POI

If the POI is cabin, use the down arrow to get to the
Cabin #2 text box; enter the cabin number, for example 4019.

Once you have entered the information, push the
OK softkey.  This will initiate routing., and provide the directions
information. Here's an example of the information:

Proceed aft 250 feet to the rear left elevator.
Go up 3 decks to deck 6 (Lido)
Then go forward about 110 feet further.
Estimated Travel time: 7 minutes.

The travel time is a very rough estimate and will depend your age, physical condition and on-board events.
In addition to the text display there is also an animated,  graphical display that shows the route on the ship
diagram. And if audio is enabled there is a vocalized output.

Finding  Points of Interest (POIs)
To find points of interest (restaurants, theaters, shops, etc. ), click on the Points of Interest item in the Ship sub-
menu. Next select an item from the list box. Then click the OK softkey. This will center the display about the
selected POI and also highlight it with an animated bull's-eye symbol.

Using the stylus (PDA version only)
Besides  using the stylus for interacting with user interface elements (buttons, menus, and others), you can use
the stylus to get  information about POI objects displayed in the ship diagram. To do this, just tap  near the center
